If you're at all into fashion or just love seeing the passion and creativity that goes into creating something, I highly recommend the film Valentino: The Last Emperor. I just watched it on Netflix and found it to be really spectacular. To see the man, the visionary, behind such amazingly beautiful clothes, to see the passion he has for what he does (which often leads to arrogance and temper tantrums), to see the work that it takes to create his masterpieces...it really is breathtaking. I actually teared up a bit during his two runway shows b/c his clothes truly are works of art. This film makes me want to hop on a plane to Italy. It makes me want to go out and buy 5 pugs so they can run around my French chateau. It makes me want to swear off tanning for the rest of my life. But mostly, it makes me want to just be in the presence of a Valentino gown - if only to admire the artistry and magnificence of his talent. In the words of Valentino himself - "I love beauty. Is not my fault."
