A few tasty morsels from blog land:
1. If you haven't discovered Anna & Kristina's show on the OWN network, you totally should. Each episode they cook a variety of different recipes from one popular cookbook and tell you if the book is worth buying. They're sweet, funny, down-to-earth girls who make cooking look like fun, especially if you do it with friends!
2. To that end, if you're thinking of starting a cooking club (like my Mothers & More group did this month!), here's some great tips.
3. In case you hadn't heard, the move towards sustainable, all-natural, non-toxic living is on. And that applies to art supplies (some of the ingredients in traditional supplies are downright scary!). Check out this new line of beautifully packaged art supplies that are safe even if they end up in junior's mouth!
4. After you've bought some new art supplies, maybe you need a fancy dancy creative space in which to try them out. Take this course and Mariah Bruehl will show you how to set-up, organize and fully stock a creative dream space for you and your kids.
5. And, obviously, after your kid turns into the next Pablo Picasso, you'll need some kind of organizational system for all those masterpieces. Here are some tips for preserving everything from large scale dioramas to spectacular mini works of art.
6. Spring is definitely in the air!! My first daffodils blossomed this week and it's got me just giddy. So do these lovely images from Holland (can you imagine these in person!). And another of my favorite springtime blooms, the lilac - some images to remind you that all this rain leads to something truly beautiful.
7. Here's a fun project to do with the kids this spring - if you choose the right paint colors, these could be a permanent addition to your decor in just about any room.
8. These letterpress notecards make me laugh out loud. Combining my love of stationary with my love of witty humor - what could be better?
9. Need some color inspiration? Look no further...
10. And how about being gobsmacked by the sheer talent and creativity of others? I tell ya, the amount of beauty and talent in the world really astounds me.
Here's wishing you a sunny, relaxing weekend!
