Sorry for the absence of a weekly obsession the past two weeks -- it's not that I haven't been obsessing over anything (let's face it, I always am!), but I figured you didn't want to see pictures of my spring cleaning (which is what I was obsessive about last week) or my journey into another round of jury duty (which was the week before).
This week's obsession is easy, however. Holiday decor! Specifically, Easter decor. One of my favorite things about having kids is having an excuse to decorate my house for the different holidays. We are not a religious family, so Easter for us takes on a more secular meaning, defined by celebrating the arrival of spring, time with family and fun for the kids. I love all the pastel colors of Easter decorations - so fresh and pretty. Maybe you'll get inspired by one of these beauties:
A beautiful DIY Easter Centerpiece from Fancy House Road
Beaded egg ornaments from Martha Stewart
A gorgeous door bouquet from Garden View Cottage
A cute and easy banner welcoming Spring
Crepe paper carrots from Martha Stewart
Grass candles from Martha Stewart
And one last little tip from me to you - I read that if you wipe your boiled eggs with vinegar before you pop them into their dye bath, the color will take better and come out deeper and darker. I plan on trying it this year and I'll let you know how it turns out!
